SIHEUNG, SOUTH KOREA – Siheung City in Gyeonggi Province has announced the highly anticipated resumption of its 'Siheung City Tour' bus service, commencing operations on April 3rd. The revitalized tour offers a convenient and engaging way for both residents and visitors to explore the diverse attractions of the city, with departures scheduled every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

For those traveling from the capital, the Thursday tour departs from the central Seoul Station at 9:00 AM. Weekend excursions, on Fridays and Saturdays, will begin a little later at 9:30 AM from Sadang Station, providing accessible starting points for a day of exploration in Siheung.

A significant highlight of the 2025 City Tour is the introduction of five newly curated seasonal regular courses. This innovative approach replaces the previous single itinerary with themed experiences designed to showcase the city's unique charm throughout the year. The thoughtfully planned courses include:

Spring & Autumn Trekking and Sunset Delights: This itinerary will likely focus on Siheung's scenic natural landscapes, offering opportunities for leisurely hikes and culminating in breathtaking sunset views at picturesque locations.
Spring & Summer Exploration of Gyeongbokgungji, Lotus Theme Park, and Mulwang Reservoir Gastronomic Delights: This course will immerse visitors in the beauty of the Gyeongbokgungji (likely a historical site or garden), the vibrant Lotus Theme Park during its blooming season, and offer a culinary journey around the popular Mulwang Reservoir, known for its diverse restaurants.
Summer Adventure at Turtle Island: Marine Leisure and Water Fun: Capitalizing on Siheung's coastal location, this summer-focused tour will likely feature activities such as water sports, beach visits, and other aquatic recreational experiences at the popular Turtle Island (Geobukseom).
A Cultural and Historical Exploration Course: While not explicitly detailed, it's probable that one of the five seasonal courses will delve into Siheung's rich cultural heritage, potentially including visits to historical sites, museums, or traditional markets.
A Nature and Ecology Focused Course: Given the mention of the Shihwa Lake tour for environmental education, another regular course might highlight Siheung's natural environment, perhaps featuring parks, ecological reserves, or coastal areas.
Beyond the scheduled seasonal tours, Siheung City is also catering to group travelers with customized theme tours available for groups of 15 or more. This allows for tailored experiences based on specific interests. Furthermore, the dedicated Shihwa Lake tour for environmental education underscores the city's commitment to raising awareness about its natural resources and ecological significance. Shihwa Lake, a reclaimed freshwater lake, is an important ecological site and offers unique learning opportunities.

Detailed information regarding the specific itineraries, departure points, times, and participation methods can be found on the official Siheung City Tour website. Interested individuals and groups are encouraged to visit the website for booking and further details to take advantage of this renewed opportunity to discover the魅力 (charm) of Siheung City.
