Samcheok Tourism & Culture Foundation Recruits Food Booth Vendors for the "2026 Neowa Pocha Street"

The Samcheok Tourism & Culture Foundation (Chairman Park Sang-soo) announced that it is accepting applications until October 12 for food booth vendors to participate in the "2026 Neowa Pocha Street," scheduled to be held around Samcheok Beach from November 6 to 7.

Key Recruitment Details

Recruitment Target: Local businesses and organizations with their business license location registered in Samcheok City as of the day prior to the public notice. Applicants must hold a business license and business registration related to the items they plan to sell, and must be capable of obtaining a temporary business report.
Scale: Approximately 20 food booths will be selected to showcase foods that match the pocha (pojangmacha) street atmosphere using local Samcheok specialties.
Provided Support: Each participating vendor will be provided with a 3m x 3m wooden "Neowa" style booth, a booth banner, tables and chairs, basic lighting, and electricity (within 3kW).
Vendor Obligations: Selected businesses must comply with approved menus and prices according to the event's operation guidelines, and actively participate in eco-friendly event operations such as using reusable containers.
Event Vision & Application Process
Yoo Jae-hyun, Secretary-General of the Samcheok Tourism & Culture Foundation, stated:

"Through 'Neowa Pocha Street,' a night tourism content planned by reflecting the characteristics of Samcheok Sinri's traditional 'Neowajip' (wooden-shingled houses), we aim to create a stay-type event where diverse local foods and night contents harmonize. We ask for great interest and participation from local restaurants and merchants who can showcase the taste and unique characteristics of Samcheok."
Deadline: Applications must be submitted via email by October 12.
Selection Announcement: Final results will be announced on October 16 following internal evaluations.
