Eastar Jet announced on January 2nd that it has officially received the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification, a globally recognized safety evaluation organized by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
To secure this certification, Eastar Jet underwent a rigorous year-long assessment process. The evaluation covered 920 items across eight functional areas, including flight operations, maintenance, cabin safety, ground handling (cargo), and security. The airline successfully met the strict criteria set by the latest standards (ISM 17th Edition).
IOSA is a comprehensive safety and quality evaluation system for airlines, based on standards established by major aviation authorities such as the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Key Details:
Validity: The certification is valid for two years, during which the airline must maintain continuous compliance with IATA standards.
Commitment: Eastar Jet plans to strengthen its safety management system through constant internal inspections and ongoing improvements to meet international benchmarks.
"Achieving the IOSA certification is a formal recognition that Eastar Jet's safety operation system meets international standards," said an official from Eastar Jet. "We will continue to prioritize safety as our top value to remain an airline that customers can trust."
