LG Electronics Unveils Specialized HVAC Solutions in India, Aiming for B2B Market Leadership

[MUMBAI, INDIA] — LG Electronics is making a strategic push into the Indian B2B market by showcasing a comprehensive suite of high-efficiency Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) solutions at 'ACREX 2026', the nation’s premier air conditioning exhibition held in Mumbai from March 12th.

Strategic Entry into the Indian Core Component Market
In a notable departure from previous years, LG Electronics has established a dedicated booth exclusively for component solutions alongside its finished goods pavilion. This move underscores the company's commitment to highlighting its core competencies in the B2B sector, particularly in the manufacturing of essential parts like compressors, which serve as the "heart" of air conditioning systems.

The new lineup of compressors is meticulously engineered to withstand India’s unique environmental challenges, characterized by unstable power grids, extreme temperature fluctuations, and increasingly stringent environmental regulations.

Technical Innovations: Durability and Efficiency
LG’s latest refrigeration compressors feature a robust design specifically created to minimize mechanical shock during sudden power outages—a frequent occurrence in many parts of India. By reinforcing internal durability, LG ensures a longer product lifespan despite the harsh operating conditions.

Key features of the new component lineup include:

High-Efficiency Engineering: Achieving industry-leading energy efficiency levels to comply with India’s tightening energy star ratings.
Miniaturization: The new models are more than 10% smaller than their predecessors, allowing manufacturers to maximize internal storage space in refrigerators without sacrificing cooling power.
Versatile Lineup: LG displayed a wide range of compressors, from 1–2 RT (Refrigeration Tons) for residential units to high-capacity 27 RT models for commercial systems.

Environmental Responsibility and Climate Adaptation
As environmental regulations tighten globally, LG has introduced commercial compressors utilizing R32 refrigerant, which has a significantly lower Global Warming Potential (GWP) than traditional refrigerants. This proactive approach allows Indian business partners to future-proof their products against evolving environmental standards.

For the whole-unit sector, LG showcased the 'Multi V 5', a large-capacity Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system. Specifically adapted for the Indian climate—from extreme heat to biting cold—the Multi V 5 utilizes LG’s proprietary 3-stage compression technology and real-time refrigerant control to optimize energy consumption regardless of external conditions.

Strengthening Ties as a "National Brand"
This exhibition marks a significant milestone in LG’s localization strategy. By providing solutions that address the specific pain points of Indian consumers and businesses—such as power instability and extreme heat—LG aims to solidify its status as a trusted partner.

"We are committed to becoming a trusted business partner for our corporate clients through innovative component solutions optimized for the Indian environment," said Hong-ju Jeon, Managing Director of LG Electronics India. "Our goal is to transcend our success in the consumer market to become a truly 'national brand' in the B2B sector as well."

As the Indian HVAC market continues to grow alongside rapid urbanization and infrastructure development, LG’s focus on high-efficiency, durable, and eco-friendly technology is expected to set a new benchmark for the industry.
