Madrid, Spain – The average price of the top 10 best-selling cars in Spain has skyrocketed by a staggering 68% over the past decade, according to a new report from Sumauto.
Data compiled by AutoScout24, a leading used vehicle marketplace owned by Sumauto, revealed that the average cost of a new car in Spain reached €23,977 in 2024. This represents a substantial increase compared to the €14,236 average price recorded in 2014.
The analysis, which utilized data from Ideauto and the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT), highlights the significant upward trend in new car prices in Spain. Various factors, including increased production costs, technological advancements, and changing consumer preferences toward higher-end models, are believed to have contributed to this price surge.
The data underscores the growing affordability challenges faced by many Spanish consumers looking to purchase a new vehicle. As prices continue to climb, industry experts anticipate a potential shift in consumer behavior, with more buyers opting for used cars or delaying their vehicle purchases.
