Incheon, South Korea – Incheon International Airport Corporation announced the opening of a new pet lounge at the airport's Terminal 1 transportation center, designed to enhance the travel experience for passengers with pets.
Recognizing the growing number of pet owners in South Korea and the increasing number of passengers traveling with their furry companions, the airport corporation introduced the pet hotel service in March and subsequently opened an outdoor pet garden. The newly opened indoor pet lounge complements these existing facilities.
Located on the B1 floor of Terminal 1's transportation center, the pet lounge provides a comfortable space for travelers and their pets to relax. The lounge features a photo zone and seating areas, allowing passengers to bond with their pets before or after their flights.
The pet lounge is conveniently located next to the outdoor pet garden, allowing pets to enjoy both indoor and outdoor activities. This integrated approach provides a comprehensive solution for pet owners, making their travel experience more enjoyable.
The pet hotel counter, previously located in the arrival hall of Terminal 1, has been relocated to the pet lounge. This streamlined process allows passengers to drop off their pets before their flight, have them cared for at a pet hotel during their trip, and pick them up upon their return.
The pet hotel service is provided by "DogDog," located approximately 10 minutes away from the airport. The hotel offers personalized boarding and care services for pets. Advance reservations are required.
