Jecheon, South Korea – Jecheon City has announced that it will be accepting applications for a private operator to manage its new public postpartum care center, which is scheduled to open in June or July this year.

The center, located in Haso-dong, Jecheon, is currently under construction and will feature 13 mother-and-child rooms, a nursery, and a program room. The facility, built at a cost of 6.9 billion won, was primarily funded by the government's local extinction response fund.

The city plans to outsource the operation of the center to a medical institution or a postpartum care facility registered under the Maternal and Child Health Law. The estimated budget for the outsourced operation in 2025 is 935 million won.

Interested organizations are invited to submit their proposals to the Jecheon City Health Center between March 3rd and 7th. The city will select the successful applicant through a document review and a deliberation committee, with the results to be announced on March 11th.

The public postpartum care center offers various amenities and services for new mothers and their babies. The basic daily rate is set at 135,720 won, with weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly rates also available. The city will provide a 50% discount to residents of Jecheon, multicultural families, and people with disabilities.
