The Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Culture and Tourism Foundation (hereinafter referred to as the "Foundation") announced on the 14th that it held the "2026 Jeonbuk LOCAL ON Awards Ceremony" at the Jeonbuk Tourism Business Support Center and awarded 5 local specialized experiential tourism products. The awards ceremony was attended by 20 teams selected this year, with 1 Grand Prize (Choiwoo-sang), 1 Excellence Award (Woosu-sang), and 3 Encouragement Awards (Jangryeo-sang) presented.

The "Local Specialized Experiential Tourism Product Incubation Project" is a project designed to discover experiential content operated by local residents and support its commercialization and business development. The Foundation categorized a total of 79 contents submitted to this year's open call into 40 basic-course and 20 advanced-course entries in the first round, and ultimately selected the final 5 products among them.

The Grand Prize was awarded to DISTRICT7 of Jeonju for "JEONJU FLOW: Jeonju Story with Bibim Bread," and the Excellence Award went to Hankuk Suldogam of Jeongeup for "Fermentation Experience of Directly Brewing, Tasting, and Drinking with Jeongeup Naejangsan Rice Nuruk." The commercialization support funds are 5 million won for the Grand Prize and 2 million won for the Excellence Award.

The Encouragement Awards were given to ▲ Jinan Wonyonjang Saemaulhoe's "Cotton Flower Bouquet and One Night Love Story," ▲ Jeonju Gijeopnori Preservation Society's "Jeonju Gijeopnori Traditional Culture Experience," and ▲ Muju Garden Walk Cafe's "Muju's Season Museum Garden Walk." Each winning team received a support fund of 1 million won.

At the awards ceremony, participants shared this year's project implementation process and operational cases of the selected products, and formed the "Jeonbuk Local On Community" to facilitate exchanges between last year's selected companies and this year's participating companies. The participating companies plan to share information and operational experience related to Jeonbuk experiential tourism through the community.

The final selected products will receive promotional marketing support, including online sales channel registration, product advancement consulting, storytelling development, promotion utilizing domestic and overseas online channels and influencers, and participation in expositions and events.

Meanwhile, the Foundation plans to hold a performance exhibition introducing 10 experiential tourism products selected in 2025 and 2026 from November 10 to November 29 at Hayan Yangokjip. The exhibition will be organized to showcase the experiential tourism products discovered over the past two years and their business achievements.
