JAI, a leading manufacturer of industrial cameras, has introduced new models to its Sweep series of high-speed CMOS line scan cameras. The SW-16000TL-CXP4A color and SW-16000M-CXP4A monochrome models feature a 16K resolution, large 5μm pixels, and a CoaXPress 4 x CXP-12 interface, enabling high-resolution imaging and high-speed data transfer. These specifications make them ideal for vision systems that require precise inspection of small features in manufacturing processes.
The new Sweep series models are well-suited for high-speed web and print inspection applications such as battery inspection, flat panel display inspection, and PCB inspection. With scan speeds of 100kHz (color model) and 277kHz (monochrome model), respectively, they offer significantly faster performance than previous 16K line scan cameras with 3.5μm pixels.
The Sweep cameras feature 5μm x 5μm square pixels, providing higher sensitivity compared to previous generations. The larger pixel size results in improved dynamic range and signal-to-noise ratio, leading to better image quality. Additionally, 2x1 horizontal binning (10μm x 5μm) can be used to further increase sensitivity.
The new Sweep series cameras support data transfer speeds up to 50Gbps through the CoaXPress 2.0 interface. This interface integrates triggering and power supply, allowing for cable lengths up to 25 meters. Multiple cameras can be connected to a single PC frame grabber, enabling high-resolution industrial vision systems. The low latency and jitter ensure stable performance in high-speed inspection environments.
The cameras feature versatile GPIO and trigger options to support synchronization with lighting and rotary encoders. Advanced features such as "scan resume" and "trigger count delay" enhance versatility in various inspection environments.
