Seoul, South Korea – January 31, 2025 – Com2us, a leading global game company, announced today that its inaugural global game development contest, "Com:On 2024," has received over 250 submissions.
The contest, co-hosted by Com2us and the Game Culture Foundation, was designed to discover and nurture talented game developers. Open to all South Korean residents aged 14 and above, the competition invited individuals or teams of up to 10 members to submit original game concepts for mobile or PC platforms.
Since the contest opened for submissions on November 19th, 2024, Com2us has been inundated with a diverse range of entries from aspiring game creators. "We were overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and creativity displayed by the participants, especially considering this was our first year," said [Name], a representative from Com2us. "The variety of genres and innovative ideas submitted make us excited to see the final results."
To select the winners, Com2us will conduct a two-stage judging process. The first round will involve evaluating the submitted proposals and video materials. Successful applicants will then advance to the second round, where they will be required to present a prototype build and deliver a presentation.
The grand prize winner will receive a cash award of 20 million KRW, while the first runner-up will take home 10 million KRW. Two additional prizes of 5 million KRW each will be awarded to the second runners-up. Winners will also enjoy exclusive benefits such as access to Com2us' global game platform, "Hive," mentorship programs, and preferential treatment in future job applications.
