- Set for the 24th at the Pine Tree Garden in Sejong Central Park... Featuring diverse citizen-participatory programs including the 'Daytime Goblin Play'

The "2026 Sejong National Arts Festival - Art, Fly High!" is scheduled to take place on the 24th starting at 10:30 AM around the Pine Tree Garden area of Sejong Central Park.

Organized by the Sejong Chapter of the Korea National Federation of Arts and Cultural Organizations (President Cho Sung-hwan), the Sejong National Arts Festival is held as part of the local subsidy project supporting regional representative performing arts festivals.

This year's festival is designed as a citizen-participatory arts festival where local artists and citizens can communicate and enjoy together through performances, exhibitions, and hands-on programs that blend traditional and modern art.

The festival will open at 10:30 AM on the 24th with a traditional percussion troupe's gilnori (street parade) and a Korean traditional music performance.

Following this, the "Citizen Arts Festival" will create an exciting atmosphere featuring participation from local citizen art clubs, including poetry song busking, ocarina and harmonica performances, and a women's choir.

At 7:00 PM, celebratory performances such as a "Daytime Goblin Flash Mob" and Hangul calligraphy dance, along with the opening ceremony, are scheduled.

In addition, fusion art performances such as "Art, Fly High to the Peak of the World!"—combining pansori, Korean traditional music, string ensemble, choir, ballet, and a band—and "Art, Fly High with Poetry!"—expressing poetry through song and dance—will grace the autumn night.

Notably, a variety of programs will be operated continuously from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including the "Daytime Goblin Play," which reinterprets the daytime goblin folklore passed down in Jochiwon Traditional Market, as well as making mini sotdae (traditional wooden poles) and carving Hangul stamps.

Cho Sung-hwan, President of the Sejong Chapter of the Federation of Artistic and Cultural Organizations, stated, "We hope that citizens will share joy and comfort through art at this festival where tradition and modernity, poetry, song, and dance harmonize."
