A special 3-day wellness journey taking place across the Beomeosa Temple grounds and the Seon Culture Education Center from October 23 to 25.

Busan City (Mayor Jeon Jae-soo) announced that it will host the "2026 Busan Healing Festa in Beomeosa" for three days from October 23 to 25 in the Beomeosa Temple area of Geumjeong-gu, offering a time of relaxation for the body and mind amidst the autumn atmosphere.

Co-organized with the Busan Tourism Organization, this event was designed to provide a genuine recovery experience for busy citizens and tourists living in fast-paced daily lives.

The event will be divided into the Beomeosa Temple grounds and the Seon Culture Education Center, tailored to the characteristics of each space. Participants can experience finding physical balance through rest and relaxation, completely immersing themselves in nature while escaping smartphones and everyday stimuli.

Busan’s representative wellness tourism destinations and specialized medical institutions will participate to operate wellness experience programs and promotional booths, alongside a circulation shuttle bus running for visitor convenience.

[Operating Hours] October 23 (Fri) 13:30 ~ October 25 (Sun) 19:40
[Operation Route] Beomeosa Station Exit 3 (Busan Metro Line 1) ~ Beomeosa Temple ~ Seon Culture Education Center
At the Beomeosa Temple grounds (Wellness Yard), eight of Busan's representative wellness tourism hubs will participate. They will showcase sensory-awakening booth experience spaces—including meditation, aromatherapy, Nordic walking*, and paddling—as well as a wellness market where visitors can taste, look around, and add a break to their daily lives.

Nordic walking: A walking exercise originating in Northern Europe, performed by pushing off the ground with poles. Paddling: Refers to the act of moving or propelling across water mainly using oars; in surfing, it refers to the action of lying face down on a board and paddling through the water with the arms to move forward.
At the Seon Culture Education Center, exclusive programs designed for deep rest and recovery away from daily life will take place, including temple yoga, temple barre, and digital detox.

Programs are categorized into paid and free options to suit participants' preferences. Paid programs include Forest Trail Run, Temple Yoga, Temple Barre, Digital Detox, and Forest Healing Walk, while free programs include Mind Talk with Monks, Seon (Zen) Meditation & Breathing, Moonlight Night Tour, Singing Bowl, and Outdoor Yoga.

First, the paid programs feature "Forest Trail Run & Recovery," where professional instructors teach safe running; "Temple Yoga," practiced while listening to the clear air and wind chimes of the temple; "Temple Barre*," accessible even to beginners; "Dopamine OFF, Geumjeongsan ON Digital Detox," where participants rediscover their true selves alongside oriental medicine doctors and brain science meditation instructors; and "Forest Healing Walk," a healing stroll listening to the sounds of nature.

Barre: A full-body workout combining elements of pilates and strength training based on ballet movements.
Free programs include "Mind Talk with Monks," where participants let go of complex thoughts and face themselves as they are; "Seon Meditation & Breathing," which gathers scattered minds through breath to meet a tranquil self; "Healing Meditation," healing the mind through sound; outdoor yoga enjoyed in the fresh air of Mt. Geumjeongsan; and "Moonlight Night Tour" and "Singing Bowl Experience," which involve walking through the Beomeosa Temple grounds under the moonlight and wrapping up with singing bowls.

Following the event, the city plans to operate a "Wellness Week" (October 26 – November 15), offering discount coupons for wellness tourist destination experience programs so that citizens and tourists can experience the programs firsthand closer to home.
