On Monday, May 4, 2026, Ambassador Hyuk-Sang Sohn presented his letters of credence to Santiago Peña, the President of the Republic of Paraguay.

Diplomatic Engagement
President Peña warmly welcomed Ambassador Sohn at the start of his mission. In response, the Ambassador expressed his firm commitment to actively contributing to the elevation of Korea-Paraguay relations to a new level.

Honoring Paraguay's History
Following the credentials ceremony, Ambassador Sohn visited the National Pantheon of Heroes (Panteón Nacional de los Héroes). During his visit, he:

Laid a floral wreath in honor of the fallen.
Signed the official guestbook.
Received a briefing on the site's historical significance, paying his respects to the heroes and the rich history of Paraguay.
