Busan — The Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Jeon Jae-soo) announced that the 「2026 Busan Pettro Festival」 will be held on October 24 at 10:00 AM at 'Pet Station,' located in the underground shopping center between Suyeong Station and Gwangan Station on the Busan Metro.
The event is hosted by Pet Station Co., Ltd. and sponsored by the city.
Marking its second edition this year, the festival was organized to vitalize the pet-specialized street and foster a harmonious companion culture shared by both pet owners and non-pet owners alike.
The festival offers a diverse lineup of interactive programs for visitors and their pets to enjoy together. Scheduled events include a pet talk show hosted by veterinarians, mini-games with companion animals, pet-related counseling, and a lucky draw.
Visitors can also participate in pet supplies-making workshops and behavioral correction counseling. Furthermore, the veterinary clinic within 'Pet Station' will provide health consultations, while the grooming salon will offer complimentary hygiene grooming services. A flea market featuring 10 local pet-related small businesses will also showcase a variety of items, including pet treats, clothing, and accessories.
Notably, a "Stray Dog Adoption Campaign" will be held, allowing visitors to meet rescue dogs in person, interact with them, and receive adoption consultations. The city expects this campaign to contribute significantly to spreading a sound pet culture.
The venue, 'Pet Station,' is an urban pet complex culture and shopping space where various pet-related products and services are available under one roof. Opened in 2024, it houses a variety of businesses including an animal hospital, pet cafe, grooming salon, and feed/supplies shops. Through this festival, the city plans to further promote 'Pet Station' to the general public.
