Ansan City, Gyeonggi Province, has announced the '2025 Ansan Youth Fair,' a first-of-its-kind event in the nation, to be held on June 20th and 21st at Sangnoksu Gymnasium. Co-hosted by Ansan City, Gyeonggi Techno Park, Sangsangdaero, and Sangsang Station, the fair aims to serve as a comprehensive platform where young people can explore diverse opportunities in entrepreneurship and engage with key policies. Operating daily from 10 AM to 6 PM, this year's theme, 'Ansan's Future, Connecting Youth,' underscores the city's commitment to empowering its younger generation.

The opening day, June 20th, will feature the highly anticipated Youth Start-up Competition, offering a substantial 290 million won in prize money and business commercialization support. Thirteen pre-selected youth start-up teams will present innovative ideas rooted in 4th industrial revolution convergence technologies, undergoing evaluation by a panel of expert investment judges. Complementary events on this day include talk concerts, personalized 1:1 consultations for employment, start-ups, and investment, interactive experience and promotion booths, and a vibrant youth flea market.

June 21st is dedicated to the Youth Policy Expo. A pivotal 'Link On' program will connect young attendees with eight leading professionals from prominent companies such as Kakao Bank, Nexon, Coupang, and Samsung Electronics. These mentors will provide direct career guidance and insights. The day's agenda also includes "Growth Lectures," featuring a session like "Next with Dunamu for Youth," "Open Talks," and "Talk Concerts" designed to deepen youth engagement with policy discussions and career planning. A special celebratory performance by the internationally acclaimed dance team Lock N Lol Crew is also slated.

Throughout the two-day event, attendees can access continuous programs, including personal color diagnosis, professional interview photo sessions, customized consultations on finance, psychology, career, and employment strategies, and an immersive Youth Policy Universe Zone. While all Ansan citizens are welcome, advance registration from June 9th is recommended for priority access to mentoring and 1:1 consultation booths.

Ansan Mayor Lee Min-geun emphasized the fair's unique significance, stating, "This is the first time in the nation that a youth start-up competition and a youth policy expo are being held simultaneously to provide comprehensive information on areas of interest to young people." He expressed hopes for the fair to be a valuable opportunity for interaction and growth, highlighting the city's broader strategy to establish Ansan as a "youth-friendly city." This includes initiatives like the "Youth Center Sangsang Station" and "Youth Cube Wolpi Camp," specialized spaces designed to foster youth independence, creativity, and entrepreneurship. Ansan's long-standing role in nurturing young entrepreneurs through programs like the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' Youth Startup Academy further solidifies its position as a key hub for youth development in South Korea.
