Seoul, South Korea – Renault Korea's Grand Koleos has made a significant impact on the South Korean mid-size hybrid SUV market, capturing a remarkable 30% market share in October.
Out of the 17,229 mid-size hybrid SUVs sold in South Korea last month, the Grand Koleos accounted for 5,296 units. This impressive performance highlights the growing appeal of Renault's hybrid offerings in a market traditionally dominated by Hyundai and Kia.
Combining the sales of both the Grand Koleos and the Arkana, Renault Korea sold a total of 5,468 hybrid vehicles in October, representing 14% of the total hybrid vehicle sales in the country during the same period.
From January to October, Renault Korea's cumulative hybrid vehicle sales surged by 634% year-on-year, reaching 11,110 units.
The Grand Koleos E-Tech Hybrid boasts a powerful system output of 245 horsepower and an impressive fuel efficiency of 15.7 kilometers per liter, making it one of the most efficient vehicles in its class. Additionally, its quiet cabin, panoramic sunroof, and advanced safety and convenience features have contributed to its popularity.
The Arkana E-Tech Hybrid, another key player in Renault Korea's lineup, has also been well-received by consumers thanks to its excellent fuel efficiency and dynamic driving performance.
A Renault Korea spokesperson stated, "The strong sales of the Grand Koleos and Arkana E-Tech Hybrids demonstrate our commitment to popularizing hybrid vehicles in the South Korean market."
