Chungcheongnam-do, South Korea – In celebration of the ‘2025-2026 Visit Chungcheongnam-do Year,’ the provincial government and the Chungnam Culture & Tourism Foundation have announced the launch of the ‘Chungnam Tour Pass’ on April 24th, aiming to invigorate tourism in the region.
The Chungnam Tour Pass is a mobile ticket-based tourism product that connects various paid tourist attractions within the province, including tourist sites, cafes, experience facilities, and accommodations, offering discounts through integrated, themed, and exclusive passes.
The initial launch on the 24th features seven exclusive passes for prominent tourist destinations such as Boryeong Gaehwa Art Park and Seocheon National Ecology Park. Plans are underway to release three integrated passes in May – a 24-hour pass, a 36-hour pass, and a 48-hour pass – along with themed passes like the Chungnam Gourmet Tour Pass, promising a diverse range of experiences for visitors.
The Chungnam Tour Pass can be conveniently purchased online through the Chungnam Tourism website and Naver Store. Pass holders can enjoy free or discounted entry and services at participating establishments across the province by presenting their mobile ticket.
The province aims to expand the network of affiliated businesses to 300 this year, encompassing tourist attractions, cafes, experiential activities, and lodging facilities, thereby enriching the variety of sights and experiences available to Tour Pass users.
A notable addition this year is the integration with the Hometown Love Donation system. Individuals who donate to Chungcheongnam-do can opt to receive a Chungnam Tour Pass (valued at KRW 30,000) as a thank-you gift, offering a unique opportunity to support the region while enjoying its tourist offerings.
Furthermore, the provincial government and the foundation intend to actively promote the ‘Visit Chungcheongnam-do Year’ by linking the Tour Pass with various city and county festivals, creating synergistic promotional opportunities.
A provincial official stated, "The Chungnam Tour Pass offers a chance to experience the unique charm and distinctive experiences of our region, contributing to a positive image of Chungnam tourism. We anticipate that this initiative will attract more extended-stay tourists and significantly boost the overall tourism industry in Chungcheongnam-do."
