SEOUL, South Korea – The spotlight is shining brightly on KIA Tigers' young star, Kim Do-young, as he prepares to be crowned the Most Valuable Player (MVP) at the 2024 KBO Awards ceremony. The 21-year-old phenom has had a breakout season, and many are wondering if he can achieve the historic feat of a unanimous MVP vote.

The KBO Awards will be held on November 26th at the Lotte Hotel World, where the league will recognize the top performers of the 2024 season. The MVP and Rookie of the Year awards are voted on by baseball reporters from across the country.

Kim Do-young has been the overwhelming favorite for the MVP award all season. His impressive statistics, including a .347 batting average, 38 home runs, 109 RBIs, and 143 runs scored, have solidified his place as one of the league's most dominant players. His 143 runs scored is a new KBO record, and he became the youngest player in league history to hit 30 home runs and steal 30 bases in a single season.

With such a dominant performance, there has been speculation about whether Kim Do-young could become the second player in KBO history to win the MVP award unanimously. The only other player to achieve this feat was Park Cheol-soon in 1982. However, unlike Park, who was the sole nominee that year, Kim Do-young will be competing against 17 other players.

While a unanimous vote for Kim Do-young is certainly possible, it remains to be seen if he can secure all the votes. Nevertheless, his performance this season has been nothing short of extraordinary, and he is widely expected to take home the MVP award.
