HARBIN – The South Korean men's ice hockey team delivered a dominant performance at the 2025 Harbin Asian Games, crushing Kyrgyzstan 20-0 in the quarterfinals on February 11. The victory propels them into the semifinals and marks the highest score by any team in a single game at the tournament.

From the opening faceoff, Korea asserted their dominance, scoring six goals in the first period and adding another ten in the second. The final period saw them net three more goals, sealing the emphatic win. The shot count further illustrated Korea's control, with a lopsided 55-11 advantage.

Key performances included Kim Sang-yeop (21), currently playing for 테네시 주립대, who tallied three goals and four assists. HL Anyang forward Kang Min-wan (25) also shone brightly with three goals and three assists, while 북미리그 star Lee Chong-min (26) contributed three goals of his own. Veteran leadership was evident in captain Kim Sang-wook (37) and Ahn Jin-hwi (34), who each recorded a goal and four assists.

With their eyes set on a historic first Asian Games gold medal, South Korea will face their next challenge in the semifinals on February 13.
