This career consulting program targets students from 5th grade of elementary school to 3rd grade of high school. Recruitment for participants will run until Thursday, August 7th, and the program itself will take place over three days from Monday, August 11th, to Wednesday, August 13th, at the Geumsan-gun Family Center. The main content includes enhancing self-understanding through aptitude tests and providing customized career exploration support through individual counseling. This focuses on resolving difficulties multicultural youth may face in choosing a career and helping them set practical directions.
Multicultural youth often experience greater challenges in career exploration compared to their peers due to differences in language and cultural backgrounds, as well as a lack of information. This program from the Geumsan-gun Family Center is especially significant, as such support opportunities can be relatively scarce in rural areas. A center official stated, "Through customized consulting that considers each youth's characteristics and strengths, we will actively support multicultural youth in drawing a concrete picture of their careers and successfully settling into society."
