The Overseas Koreans Agency (Director Lee Sang-deok) held a 'Traveling Professional Development Training for Weekend Korean Language Schools' in California, USA, from August 14-16 (local time).
The training was a collaboration with Dasom Korean School (Principal Choi Mi-young) in Sunnyvale, California. It traveled to and was held at the Silicon Valley Korean School in Cupertino and the New Vision Korean School in Milpitas. This was the second training session following the one in Atlanta in April.
The training, held to strengthen the capacity of the educational community at Korean language schools, which are a cradle for next-generation identity education, was attended by over 150 school principals and teachers, along with 70 students and 80 parents, for a total of approximately 300 participants.
The training was conducted under the theme of 'Korean Language and Identity Education in the AI Digital Age,' focusing on the latest teaching methods and classroom management strategies adapted for the digital environment.
