The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in São Paulo (Consul General Chae Jin-won) held the 'Korean Next-Generation Leaders Seminar' on the evening of April 10th at Namu (Nam) Coworking in K Square Shopping, located in the Bom Retiro Korean Town.

This event was organized to help young Brazilian Koreans grow proactively in various fields and to provide practical insights. It garnered significant attention, with many students and parents in attendance.

In his opening remarks at the seminar, Consul General Chae Jin-won expressed his pleasure in hosting another meaningful event this year, following the previous one, and thanked the attendees.

He emphasized that "ensuring the successful growth and connection of the next generation is a responsibility that the government must take," adding that this "will serve as the foundation for the sustainability of the Korean community and for Korea to play a larger role in the world."

Highlighting the importance of Brazil, he stated, "Brazil has a long history of Korean immigration, and many Korean companies have established a presence here." He encouraged the attendees by saying, "Each and every one of you will become an important link connecting Korea and the world." He also stressed the importance of language skills and networks, noting that he frequently hears about the shortage of talent fluent in both Korean and Portuguese in the field.

Kim Beom-jin, President of the Korean Association, conveyed a message of support, saying, "No matter which path you choose, your journey will all be meaningful." He added, "I hope today's gathering will be an opportunity for you to reflect on yourselves and dream of broader possibilities."
