The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister Yu In-chon), in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (Minister Song Mi-ryeong), the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (Minister Ahn Duk-geun), the Ministry of Health and Welfare (Minister Cho Kyoo-hong), the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (Minister Kang Do-hyung), and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Oh Young-ju), will hold the official opening ceremony of the Korean Wave-related industry overseas promotion center ‘KOREA 360’ in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), on April 11th and 12th.

‘KOREA 360’, which first opened in Indonesia in 2022, is a space where visitors can experience K-content and Korean culture, as well as sample and purchase products from Korean Wave-related industries such as agricultural and fisheries products, cosmetics, and design goods. The Indonesian ‘KOREA 360’ has become a hub for overseas market entry, promoting the distribution and consumption of related products, attracting 1.59 million visitors and generating approximately 2.7 billion won in revenue in 2024 alone, going beyond a simple Korean Wave promotion center.

Building on the success in Indonesia, the second ‘KOREA 360’ in the UAE is established in Festival Mall, a prime commercial area in Dubai, spanning 1,606㎡. The Middle East is a region with high popularity for Korean content and a high purchase intention for Korean products and services. In particular, establishing a base for promoting Korean Wave products in Dubai, a center of global transportation and logistics and a key region in the Middle Eastern market, is expected to help penetrate the Middle Eastern market and promote the Korean Wave and related industries to tourists from around the world.
