The "2025 Next-Generation Overseas Koreans Homeland Invitation Program," where approximately 2,600 next-generation overseas Koreans residing in over 70 countries worldwide will visit their homeland to experience history and culture and find their roots, officially begins on the 17th.

This program is hosted by the Overseas Koreans Agency (Administrator Lee Sang-deok) and organized by its affiliated institution, the Overseas Koreans Cooperation Center (Director Kim Young-geun).

The first opening ceremony for the program, held today at the Hyatt Hotel in Yeongjongdo, Incheon, was attended by over 240 next-generation Koreans from 26 countries.

For 6 nights and 7 days, they will visit places such as the Independence Hall of Korea and the Seodaemun Prison History Hall to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Korea's liberation and experience the history of their homeland's struggle for independence.

Additionally, they will tour industrial sites showcasing the development of K-industries. They will visit the Samyang Foods factory, beloved in the global market for its Buldak Ramen; the Incheon Biocluster, a site of advanced bio-industry; and Hyundai Motorstudio, a mobility industry site.

This year's program, which continues until August 17th, is expected to host over 2,600 next-generation Koreans from more than 70 countries worldwide.
