CHUNGCHEONGNAM-DO – South Chungcheong Province, along with 10 companies from the province, participated in the Harbin Expo in China, introducing excellent local products to Chinese and Russian buyers and expanding export opportunities.

The province announced on the 22nd that it participated in the '34th Harbin International Economic and Trade Fair,' held in Harbin, China from the 17th to the 21st, and operated a Chungcheongnam-do booth.

The Harbin International Economic and Trade Fair is a large-scale trade event participated in by over 200,000 people from more than 80 countries. The 3,000 promotion booths, set up in a 70,000 square meter exhibition hall, conducted vigorous promotional activities targeting buyers from across China and neighboring Russia.

At this expo, the province operated a dedicated booth with 10 companies to target the Northeast Chinese market, showcasing a variety of products including cosmetics, food, and camping gear.

Notably, the expo yielded positive signals for entering the Northeast Chinese market, with 105 export consultations amounting to $5.63 million and the signing of two export agreements (MOUs) totaling $1.7 million.

Participating companies that operated on-site sales booths confirmed their product competitiveness through real-time consumer feedback, with many items selling out early, receiving an enthusiastic response from the local market.
