A hidden restaurant in Wonjong-dong, cozy home-cooked food in 'Shinsegae(신세계)'

[GLOBAL ECONOMIC TIMES]  A living room for Wonjong-dong residents, like my mother's kitchen.

There are times when I miss my mother's table, which I had forgotten in my busy daily life. A bowl of freshly cooked rice with carefully prepared garnishes will make all your worries disappear. This simple happiness can be found in Wonjong-dong. It was at a small restaurant called "Shinsegae".

Shinsegae is more than just a restaurant, it's a comfortable space that local residents feel at home. In the kitchen there is a mother who prepares all the food herself and in the hallway the daughter greets the guests. A pleasant and familiar atmosphere surrounds the entire restaurant.

Sometimes the food arrives late because there are many customers, but even the waiting time is pleasant. It warms my heart to see my daughter personally delivering food and her mother carefully preparing the side dishes. Although it is a simple side dish, each and every element is prepared with such care that you can easily finish a bowl of rice.

A good restaurant that offers value and flavor.

Shinsegae's biggest draw is its profitability. Not only can you enjoy a generous portion at an affordable price, but the delivery fee is only 1,000 won. Plus, if you run out of garnishes, you can refill them at any time, so you can eat as much as you want.

Shinsegae, located across from Fairyland Nursery in Wonjong-dong, boasts incredible taste despite its appearance. You can feel the comfort of eating food cooked by your mother at home.

Shinsegae is more than just a restaurant: it serves as a home for local residents. It is a space where you can take a break from your busy daily life and a place where you can share affection with your neighbors.

If you have a chance to visit Wonjong-dong, I recommend you visit Shinsegae at least once. When you miss the taste of your mother's cooking or want to enjoy a comfortable home-cooked meal, Shinsegae will always welcome you with a warm hug.
