SK hynix registra un superávit en el 2º trimestre gracias a las fuertes ventas de chips de IA

[GLOBAL ECONOMIC TIMES]  SK hynix Inc. ha dicho, este jueves, que ha registrado un superávit, en el segundo trimestre, gracias a las fuertes ventas de sus modelos prémium de chips de memoria de inteligencia artificial (IA).

El segundo mayor fabricante de chips de memoria del mundo registró unas ganancias de explotación de 5,46 billones de wones (3.950 millones de dólares), para el período abril-junio, en comparación con una pérdida de 2,88 billones de wones (2.100 millones de dólares) del año anterior, dijo la empresa en un informe presentado a los reguladores.

Este supuso el mayor beneficio operativo trimestral desde el tercer trimestre de 2018, cuando SK hynix reportó 6,47 billones de wones (4.674 millones de dólares) en ganancias de explotación.

Sus ingresos se elevaron un 124,8 por ciento, hasta un récord de 16,42 billones de wones (11.862 millones de dólares), mientras que su beneficio neto alcanzó 4,12 billones de wones (2.976 millones de dólares), cambiando de tendencia frente a una pérdida de 2,98 billones de wones (2.153 millones de dólares), de un año antes.

SK hynix atribuyó el fuerte balance a la demanda de chips de memoria de IA, incluidos los productos de memoria de alto ancho de banda (HBM, según sus siglas en inglés) y unidades de estado sólido (SSD) integradas, y a un repunte en los precios de las memorias flash NAND.
