[Global Economic Times] Seogwipo City will conduct “second half worker occupational safety and health joint training and health inspection” for about 300 workers at the cultural lecture room in the annex of Seogwipo City Hall from October 21st to 22nd.
Regular occupational safety and health education is a statutory education that improves occupational safety and health awareness so that workers can work safely in accordance with Article 29 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act, and joint education was prepared to increase the effectiveness of education through on-site education.
In this training, we plan to conduct training at the Jeju Center of the Korean Occupational Health Association on the topics of improvement of work environment risk factors, prevention and management of musculoskeletal diseases, and management of chronic workers' diseases.
On the second day, worker health counseling and muscle taping practice will be provided with the medical staff at the Employee Health Center to strengthen workers' health management capabilities.
In addition, Seogwipo City holds the Occupational Safety and Health Committee every quarter to collect opinions from workers, and is continuing its efforts to create a safe workplace with workers, such as joint inspections of workplace safety and health with worker committee members.
An official from Seogwipo City said, “We will work harder to create and support an accident-free working environment with safety as our top priority,” and emphasized, “The first step to preventing industrial accidents is for workers to follow safety rules while working.”
