The 'LG Housewives Volleyball Tournament,' a representative civic festival that has grown alongside the Gumi community, is being reborn with a new name.

The LG Gyeongbuk Council announced on the 24th that the 31st edition of the tournament has been newly named 'LG WVL (Womens Volleyball League)' and will be held on the 26th at Nakdonggang Sports Park.

This tournament has been an event that has injected vitality into the local community for the past 30 years. The LG Gyeongbuk Council, comprised of LG affiliates in Gumi such as LG Electronics, LG Display, LG Innotek, Farm Hannong, and LG-HY BCM, has continuously hosted the event to promote grassroots sports and community harmony.

This year's tournament will feature women's volleyball teams from 25 townships, districts, and neighborhoods of Gumi, divided into the Geumo League and Cheonsaeng League, competing in a knockout format. Various changes are being attempted this year to address the difficulties faced by participants.

Transcending the framework of 'housewives,' the event is being reborn as a sports festival for all 'women.' Additionally, a pilot shared kitchen will be operated to resolve meal issues for each township, district, and neighborhood, and team cost burdens will be significantly reduced through the joint purchase of player uniforms.

At this event, in addition to the volleyball matches, the 'LG WVL Park' will be operated for family visitors. This zone will feature children's programs such as 'Bubble & Balloon Show,' 'Animation Medley Performance,' 'Magic Show,' and 'Challenge Dance Competition,' as well as experience programs like 'Tni Tni Physical Education Class,' 'Children's Volleyball Class' by the Hi-pass volleyball team, 'Arm Wrestling Competition,' and '3-Person Mission Relay Race.'

Furthermore, the festival aims to grow into a celebration that benefits the local community through the operation of the 'G-Food Zone' featuring excellent food companies in the Gumi region, a 'Flea Market,' and 'Food Trucks.' In particular, the prize money for this tournament will be provided in Gumi Love Gift Certificates, which is expected to substantially contribute to the revitalization of the local economy.

Special performances to elevate the festival atmosphere include 'Phantom Singer' winner Son Tae-jin and 90s legendary girl group CLEO. A raffle for LG home appliances (65-inch OLED TV, 20kg Tromm Dryer) will also be held for citizens visiting the event.

An official from the LG Gyeongbuk Council stated, "As the tournament, which has been loved by citizens for over 30 years, takes a new leap with a new name, we have strived to create an even more enjoyable festival. We have prepared various programs and events, so we ask for your enthusiastic participation."

Now, I will proceed to research for additional information about the history of the "Gumi LG Housewives Volleyball Tournament," the significance of women's volleyball in the region, details about the LG Gyeongbuk Council's community involvement, and any potential past highlights or notable participants. This will help in creating a richer and more detailed news article.

Once I have gathered the necessary information, I will present you with the expanded 2000-word news article in formal Korean.
