Prague, Czech Republic – March 10, 2025 – President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa of Mongolia has commenced a significant State Visit to the Czech Republic, arriving at Václav Havel International Airport on March 9th at the invitation of Czech President Petr Pavel.

The arrival was marked by a formal welcoming ceremony, where President Khurelsukh and his delegation were greeted by key Czech officials, including Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský, along with the respective ambassadors and diplomatic staff.   

This visit holds particular significance as it coincides with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Czech Republic, and represents the first Head of State level visit from Mongolia in a decade.   

Over the course of the State Visit, President Khurelsukh and President Pavel are scheduled to engage in a series of high-level discussions, including private tête-à-tête meetings and official talks. The two leaders will also address the press, outlining the key objectives and outcomes of their meetings.   

A core focus of the visit is the strengthening of the longstanding and friendly ties between Mongolia and the Czech Republic. To that end, both nations are expected to formalize their cooperation through the signing of intergovernmental agreements and institutional cooperation documents. These agreements will span a range of vital sectors, including education, environmental protection, agriculture, sports, and legal affairs, reflecting the breadth and depth of the bilateral relationship.   

This State Visit underscores the commitment of both Mongolia and the Czech Republic to deepen their partnership and explore new avenues for collaboration in the years to come.
