ASUNCIÓN – Fundación Renaci will host its 3rd Charity Gala Dinner to raise funds for the construction of Paraguay's first integrated well-being center for children with pediatric cancer. Under the slogan "Living Work, the art of healing together (Obra Viva, el arte de sanar juntos)," the event will take place on August 7th at 8:30 PM in the Pérez Uribe Hall of Club Centenario.

The gala dinner aims to raise funds for the sustainability of the well-being center, which has been built in the city of San Lorenzo with the purpose of providing comprehensive and specialized support to children with pediatric cancer and their families. This center was constructed in collaboration with the Maestro Cares Foundation, co-founded by international artist Marc Anthony. The center is scheduled to officially open on August 6th at 10:30 AM, the day before the gala dinner.

The gala dinner will focus on utilizing art as a tool for healing. Art has been a great source of strength for many pediatric cancer patients undergoing treatment. Attendees will have the opportunity to celebrate life, resilience, and cultural identity through a unique artistic experience, featuring works created by pediatric cancer patients themselves alongside pieces by Paraguayan artists.

Special guests expected at the event include Nadia Ferreira, an advisory board member of Fundación Renaci, as well as international delegations from the Maestro Cares Foundation and Childhood Cancer International. Fundación Renaci aims to bring together over 350 government officials, private sector leaders, and supporters who share in this meaningful cause through this gala dinner.

The participation fee is 600,000 Guaranies (G.) per person, offering a special evening combining art and social commitment. Tickets can be purchased by calling (0985) 760-142.

What Services Will the Integrated Well-being Center Provide?

This outpatient center, located in San Lorenzo, is designed to provide integrated, specialized, and human-centered support to pediatric cancer patients and their families, a first for Paraguay. The center will offer a wide range of services, including:

Psychosocial Support: Counseling and support for the mental and emotional well-being of patients and their families.
Rehabilitation: Rehabilitation programs to overcome physical challenges resulting from illness and treatment.
Palliative Care: Specialized palliative care for pain management and improving quality of life. Notably, it will operate Paraguay's first systematic pediatric palliative care program.
Follow-up for Cured Patients: Ongoing management and support to help children who have completed treatment successfully reintegrate into society.
Play and Educational Spaces: Providing an environment where children can grow through play and learning, even during their treatment process.
Telemedicine: Enhancing national medical accessibility through the Telenec (Pediatric Oncology Telemedicine Project).
This center is expected to become a beacon of hope, helping children with pediatric cancer live full lives beyond their treatment. Through this gala dinner, Fundación Renaci is taking a significant step towards providing a better future for pediatric cancer patients in Paraguay.
