The Gyeongbuk Culture and Tourism Corporation (President Kim Nam-il) announced that it is operating the tour program ‘Unique Gyeongbuk Travel’ to allow visitors to enjoy Gyeongbuk’s diverse autumn scenery and experience a relaxing break.

This program was prepared to provide tourists with a unique travel experience by utilizing the distinctive natural landscapes of each region in Gyeongbuk as tourism content for the autumn season, while promoting regional tourism and consumption revitalization.

‘Unique Gyeongbuk Travel’ is a series-type tour program linking the representative scenery of five regions—Sangju, Yeongyang, Pohang, Goryeong, and Cheongsong—with five different colors. Visitors can encounter different autumn colors and landscapes in each region, such as the golden rice terraces of Sangju, the white birch forest of Yeongyang, the blue sea of Pohang, the green ancient tombs of Goryeong, and the red apple orchards of Cheongsong.

In particular, the itinerary is structured so that visitors can sufficiently linger and enjoy the leisure amidst beautiful scenery, moving away from the style of rushing through tourist spots. Each session connects representative landscapes with nearby tourist attractions, local foods, and cafes, allowing travelers to experience a wide range of regional sights and culinary delights. Through this, the corporation plans to increase tourists' length of stay in the region and lead tourism consumption to local commercial districts.

‘Unique Gyeongbuk Travel’ is operated as a same-day tour program departing from Seoul every Saturday. It visits Sangju on October 3, Yeongyang on October 10, Pohang on October 17, and Cheongsong and Goryeong on October 24. Each session recruits a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 40 people, and tourists wishing to participate can book the product through Dongbaek Travel Agency.

Kim Nam-il, President of the Gyeongbuk Culture and Tourism Corporation, said, “Through this program, we aim to widely publicize the unique charms of each region in Gyeongbuk, expand the influx of tourists, and contribute to regional tourism revitalization and coexistence,” adding, “We hope tourists will immerse themselves in Gyeongbuk's diverse autumn scenery through ‘Unique Gyeongbuk Travel’ and enjoy a relaxing break away from daily life for a moment.”
