Jakarta, Indonesia – Indonesia's young volleyball talents are gearing up for a challenging yet exciting journey at the upcoming Volleyball Youth World Championship U-21. The draw for the tournament, held in Lausanne, Switzerland, has placed both the Indonesian men's and women's U-21 teams in competitive pools.

The men's team, competing in Pool D, will face formidable opponents including Italy, Argentina, Tunisia, France, and Ukraine. The tournament is scheduled to take place in Jiangmen, China, from August 18 to 31, 2025.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian women's team, as the host nation, will be in Pool A. They will be challenged by Argentina, Serbia, Puerto Rico, Canada, and Vietnam. The women's tournament is set to be held in Surabaya, East Java, from August 7 to 17, 2025.

A total of 96 teams from around the world will be participating in both the U-19 and U-21 categories of the World Championship. However, Indonesia has decided to focus on the U-21 level for this edition.

According to the FIVB, the top four teams from each pool will advance to the knockout stages, while the fifth and sixth-placed teams will compete in a playoff to determine their final ranking.

With the draw now finalized, the Indonesian volleyball community is eagerly anticipating the upcoming tournament. The young athletes will be looking to make their mark on the global stage and represent their country with pride.
