The Overseas Koreans Agency annually runs the "Overseas Korean Invitational Scholarship Program," which selects and provides scholarships to overseas Korean students who wish to study in undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs at domestic universities in Korea, with the aim of fostering talent that will contribute to the development of overseas Korean communities and their home country.
The Overseas Korean Invitational Scholarship Program selects scholarship recipients from overseas Koreans with foreign nationality or permanent residency in their country of residence, adopted Koreans, and Korean nationals who have completed or are scheduled to complete all educational courses overseas up to the process of support, based on their qualifications as talents who will contribute to the mutual development of the Korean community and their country of residence and homeland.
Scholarship recipients will receive support for living expenses, round-trip airfare (limited to admission and graduation, actual cost support, based on GTR ceiling), insurance premiums (collectively subscribed by the center, approximately 20,000 won per month, same as the living expense payment period), and thesis printing costs.
Applicants interested in the "Overseas Korean Invitational Scholarship Program" must submit an online application through Korean.net (www.korean.net) by April 7th (Monday), and then submit the printed and signed application form along with other documents to the local consulate general.
The Overseas Koreans Agency's Overseas Koreans Cooperation Center will review the applications and individually notify the shortlisted scholarship candidates of the interview schedule and future procedures.
