N'Djamena, Chad - Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty met with Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno in N'Djamena on Friday, emphasizing the need for intensified consultations between the two countries given the significant impact of the Sudanese crisis on both Egypt and Chad.
During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed efforts to resolve the Sudanese conflict and discussed regional issues of mutual interest. Abdelatty conveyed a message from Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, reaffirming the strong historical ties between the two nations and exploring ways to further strengthen cooperation across various sectors.
Addressing Terrorism and Extremism
The Egyptian Foreign Minister highlighted Egypt's comprehensive approach to combating terrorism and extremism, emphasizing the importance of addressing all contributing factors.
Economic Cooperation and Development
Abdelatty was accompanied by a delegation of Egyptian business leaders, reflecting Egypt's commitment to supporting Chad's development. President Déby welcomed the delegation, emphasizing the importance of strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries.

During his visit, Abdelatty also met with his Chadian counterpart, Abderaman Koulamallah, to discuss enhancing bilateral relations in political, economic, trade, investment, and other areas.

Following his visit to Chad, Foreign Minister Abdelatty traveled to Gabon on an official visit to further strengthen bilateral relations and continue joint coordination on regional issues of mutual interest.
