"Chungnam Provincial University Day" Held at Hanwha Eagles Ballpark…Focus on Promoting University and Chungnam

To attract outstanding new students for the 2026 academic year and to nationally publicize the 'Visit Chungnam Year (2025-2026)', Chungnam Provincial University held "Chungnam Provincial University Day" at the Hanwha Eagles home stadium on the 10th.

This event was a large-scale sports promotion event jointly organized by Chungnam Province and Chungnam Provincial University, designed to naturally introduce the university and the charms of Chungnam to baseball fans and families.

The highlight of the day was undoubtedly Governor Kim Tae-heum's first pitch.

Before the start of the game between the Hanwha Eagles and the KIA Tigers, Governor Kim Tae-heum donned a uniform and took to the mound to deliver a first pitch that conveyed the passion of Chungnam Province and the vision of the university.

Governor Kim Tae-heum stated, "Chungnam Provincial University, as our region's public university, plays a pivotal role in nurturing young talent and contributing to regional development. We will strive to help young people learn in the region and grow into individuals who can revitalize our communities."

Meanwhile, university promotion booths were operated around the stadium, attracting significant interest as fans, brochures, and promotional items were distributed to visitors.

During the cleaning time of the game, a promotional video for Chungnam Provincial University was shown on the scoreboard, and engaging quiz events were also held, further increasing audience participation.

Chungnam Provincial University is accelerating its efforts to attract excellent regional talent by highlighting its unique strengths such as "tuition-free education," "a prestigious institution for public official appointments," and "global training programs."

Around 200 people, including Governor Kim Tae-heum, faculty, promotional ambassadors, and students, attended the event, creating a special time where the campus and the local community became one.

Yang No-yeol, Head of Planning and Public Relations, emphasized, "In the midst of the crisis of a declining school-age population, the university and the local government are jointly seeking a breakthrough. Through creative promotions linked with cultural content, like today's event, we will make the charm of Chungnam Provincial University known to more people."
