Hamyang County successfully held the inauguration ceremony for the Hamyang FC U-18 soccer team at Goeun Gymnasium on the 8th. The event was attended by approximately 500 people, including County Governor Jin Byeong-young, National Assemblyman Shin Seong-beom, Council Chairman Kim Yoon-taek, Provincial Assembly members Kim Jae-woong and Lee Chun-deok, Korea Football Association Vice Presidents Choi Young-il and Jang Oe-ryong, Gyeongnam Football Association President-elect Baek Chan-moon, Overseas Koreans Association Vice President Yang Young-in, and the heads of the Jae-kyung Football Alumni Association.

The ceremony consisted of introductions of dignitaries, the national anthem, a progress report, an introduction of the Hamyang FC U-18 soccer team, the signing of an inauguration agreement, the presentation of a team flag, and the delivery of development funds.

In his welcoming address, Hamyang County Governor Jin Byeong-young said, "Hamyang County, which has a proud tradition of soccer, is finally inaugurating Hamyang FC, and we have gathered to commemorate this and lay the foundation for a new leap forward through a business agreement between Hamyang County and Hamyang FC." He added, "The establishment of Hamyang FC is a new challenge for Hamyang, namely 'sports and regional development,' and the successful inauguration of Hamyang FC U-18 is expected to have a positive impact on providing new opportunities for young people, as well as regional development and population inflow."

Ahn Byeong-myeong, Chairman of the Hamyang County Sports Council, said, "Hamyang has continued its tradition of 'soccer is Hamyang, Hamyang is soccer,' but after the dissolution of the Hamyang Middle School team 33 years ago, there were many concerns, including the creation of an alumni association to establish a soccer team. I am grateful to County Governor Jin Byeong-young, Hamyang County Council Chairman Kim Yoon-taek, and fellow council members for their active support in establishing the Hamyang FC U-18 soccer team." He also requested, "I hope that the Hamyang FC U-18 soccer team, which is being established after 33 years, will serve as a foundation for revitalizing the local economy, increasing the population, and achieving harmony and unity among local residents, and I ask for much attention and support from the Hamyang citizens for a smooth start for Hamyang FC."

Hamyang County, the Hamyang County Sports Council, and the Football Association plan to do their best to create a sports team that represents the region through close cooperation with the local community, including launching a support association for the stable operation of Hamyang FC U-18 in the future.
