KOTRA (President Kang Kyung-seong) announced that it will host the 'Korea-India Future Automotive Partnering Plaza' in Chennai, India, on the 4th, offering domestic auto parts companies an opportunity to explore entry into the Indian market, a next-generation global automotive production base.
This event is a flagship initiative of KOTRA's Southwest Asia Regional Headquarters and the only automotive cooperation project of its kind in India. KOTRA has collaborated with Southwest Asia trade offices to attract global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and Tier 1 and 2 buyers. The event will feature 1:1 export consultations between 30 Korean companies and 10 Indian OEM companies, including global players like Renault-Nissan and local brands like Mahindra, which are increasing their market share in India. A strategic seminar on penetrating the Indian automotive market will also be held.
This year marks the third iteration of the event, and the participation of the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) for the first time adds significant meaning as a platform for cooperation between the Korean and Indian auto parts industries. Furthermore, Invest India (India's federal investment promotion agency) and Tamil Nadu Guidance (Tamil Nadu state investment promotion agency) will participate, holding seminars to introduce automotive investment incentives in India and explore cooperation strategies between Korean and Indian companies. This is expected to provide domestic auto parts companies with an excellent opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the Indian automotive market.
