Taeean County in South Chungcheong Province announced on the 27th that it will build Korea's first sand museum in Shinduri Coastal Sand Dunes (Natural Monument No. 431).

Taeean County boasts beautiful beaches and a pristine natural environment, but has been criticized for its lack of indoor tourist attractions. In response, the county plans to invest a total of 18 billion won by 2029 to build a sand museum with a sand sculpture exhibition hall, education and experience facilities, and convenience facilities on a 6,329㎡ site in Shinduri 357-24.
