Daejeon City, in collaboration with KEPCO KPS and Nowon-gu Office, held a two-day on-site campaign

Daejeon City successfully concluded its 'Daejeon Hometown Love Donation Campaign' over two days, from June 9th to 10th, in Seoul. The campaign was designed to raise awareness about the Hometown Love Donation system among Daejeon natives residing in Seoul and Seoul metropolitan government officials, encouraging their interest and participation in donating to Daejeon City.

At the event site, a Daejeon City promotional booth was set up, providing practical information on the Hometown Love Donation system, including donation procedures, tax deduction benefits, and the composition of return gifts. Notably, citizens who made on-site donations received additional limited-edition special commemorative gifts in addition to the standard return gifts, which garnered enthusiastic responses. Some citizens even participated in donations on the spot.

This campaign was facilitated by KEPCO KPS's provision of venue and encouragement for internal participation, along with the active cooperation of Nowon-gu Office, attracting attention as a successful collaborative model between public institutions and local governments.

Under the Hometown Love Donation system, individuals can donate up to 20 million KRW annually. Donations up to 100,000 KRW are fully tax-deductible, and amounts exceeding that are subject to a 16.5% deduction. Furthermore, return gifts equivalent to 30% of the donation amount, such as local specialties and cultural products, are provided, offering a significant incentive for donations.

Jeon Jae-hyeon, Director-General of Daejeon City's Administrative and Autonomy Bureau, stated, "Through this event, we were able to confirm the warm interest of Seoul citizens." He added, "We will continue our citizen-centered promotions to expand participation in the Daejeon Hometown Love Donation system."
