Chungcheongnam-do Province has initiated a comprehensive "Administrative Property Status Survey Service Project" slated for completion by 2029. The province aims to maximize the rational utilization of its public properties, establish an efficient management system, and discover potential uses for these assets.

Chungnam Province announced that it held an "Administrative Property Status Survey Service Project Launch Briefing" on the 9th at the provincial office's small conference room. The meeting was chaired by Lim Seong-beom, Head of the Tax Affairs Division, and attended by approximately 20 officials, including property managers from the province and its cities/counties, as well as representatives from the project's service provider. This briefing is considered the first step towards strengthening Chungnam Province's public property management capabilities.

The status survey will begin this year with 17,968 provincial land plots in Seosan, Dangjin, and Taean. Over the next five years, detailed surveys will be conducted in three cities/counties annually, covering specific regions. This extensive survey, encompassing all public properties within Chungnam Province, is expected to lay the groundwork for systematic management.

The main tasks include: ▲A status survey of provincially-owned properties (administrative properties) ▲Identification and area calculation of unauthorized occupied lands ▲Preparation of data for levying surcharges on unauthorized occupied lands ▲Establishment of data for unauthorized occupied lands. In particular, identifying unauthorized occupied lands and levying surcharges are expected to prevent illegal use of public properties and increase financial revenue.

Lim Seong-beom, Head of the Tax Affairs Division, emphasized, "This public property status survey is an important first step towards accurate and efficient management of public properties. We will do our best to ensure systematic public property management going forward." The results of this survey will be crucial data for formulating Chungnam Province's public property management policies.
