ConnectWave’s price comparison platform, Danawa, is launching a special raffle event for SK Hynix’s high-performance SSD to support consumers struggling with rising PC component prices.

Danawa announced on March 9th that it will host a "Raffle Event" from today until March 13th. The lucky winner will be able to purchase an SK Hynix '1TB SSD'—currently priced in the late 300,000 KRW range—for just 1,000 KRW.

This event was designed to provide practical benefits and a fun shopping experience to consumers who are facing increased costs for building or upgrading PCs due to recent hikes in component prices. For gamers and video editors who require high-capacity storage, this raffle is expected to be a highly anticipated opportunity.

 How to Participate and Benefits

Participation is exclusively available through the Danawa mobile app. Users can enter the raffle automatically by paying 1,000 KRW for the product on the dedicated raffle board within the app. Among all participants who enter during the five-day period, one final winner will be selected to receive the 1TB SSD for just 1,000 KRW.

The winner will be announced on March 17th via the Danawa announcement board. For those who do not win, the full 1,000 KRW entry fee will be refunded immediately after the winner is announced, allowing users to participate without any financial risk.

Extra Rewards: The 'Perfect Attendance' Prize

In addition to the main raffle, Danawa has prepared a "Perfect Attendance" reward. Among those who participate in the raffle every day for the full five-day duration, 50 people will be selected via lottery to receive a 1,000 KRW convenience store voucher. This strategy aims to increase user engagement and brand loyalty by rewarding consistent participation.

A Danawa official stated, "This raffle event was organized to offer a unique shopping experience and tangible benefits in this era of high inflation. We will continue to introduce various events that combine fun and practical rewards beyond our core service of price comparison."

As SSDs have become an essential component in the PC market, their fluctuating prices—driven by NAND flash costs—often burden consumers. Danawa’s initiative is expected to contribute to consumer welfare and revitalize the distribution market.
