Province Participates in '2025 Korea Travel Expo' in Taiwan from May 23-26

Chungcheongnam-do (South Chungcheong Province) participated in the '2025 Korea Travel Expo,' held in Taiwan from May 23-26, to introduce the charms of Chungnam tourism to the local audience.

The Korea Travel Expo was held at the Taipei World Trade Center alongside the Taiwan International Tourism Fair, Taiwan's largest tourism exhibition. A total of over 100 tourism-related organizations and businesses, including local governments, medical tourism companies, and travel platform companies, participated.

At this expo, Korea's travel content was promoted to the Taiwanese local market through a city tourism promotion hall providing local government tourism information, a theme travel hall showcasing sights, entertainment, and food, and a travel product promotion hall conducting travel consultations and product sales.

Furthermore, a Korean travel buyer consultation meeting, a Taiwanese travel creator show, and a Korea-Taiwan tourism forum were also held, fostering cooperation with the Taiwanese travel industry.

During the event, Chungnam Province jointly operated the 'Chungcheongnam-do Integrated Promotion Hall' with Gongju City, Buyeo County, Boryeong Festival & Tourism Foundation, Taean International Garden & Healing Expo Organizing Committee, and Chungnam Culture & Tourism Foundation to promote 'Visit Chungnam Year 2025-2026.'

They operated a total of 8 promotional booths, marking their largest-ever participation in an overseas exhibition.

The province attracted the attention of local Taiwanese residents through surprise promotions, such as a quiz event utilizing Taiwanese creators and a Chungnam tourism SNS follow event, as well as a Baekje gold crown making experience.

In addition, promotional activities tailored to local demand, including seasonal tourist courses highlighting major autumn foliage spots, gastronomy, festivals, accommodation, and marine leisure activities, received a great response.

Simultaneously, the province promoted special interviews through media and combined online promotions via Taiwanese professional magazines and social networking services (SNS) to broaden awareness of Chungnam tourism locally.

The province plans to fully commit to developing new tourism products this year, reflecting the local feedback gathered at this expo.

An official from the province stated, "Taiwan is the third largest country in terms of the number of visitors to Korea. Chungnam considers the Taiwanese market a very important hub in its overseas tourism strategy, and we hope this Taiwan Korea Travel Expo serves as an opportunity to widely promote Chungnam's beauty, taste, and attractive tourism resources."
