On the 4th, Bucheon City held a "Bicycle Safety Promotion Ride," organized by the Bucheon City Bicycle Federation (President Lee Hyeong-rae). The event involved cycling approximately 22km, starting from Gulpocheon Manamui Gwangjang (Meeting Plaza) and ending at Jeongseojin.
This event featured citizen participation programs such as promoting safety rules for bicycle and personal mobility device (PM) users, inspecting bicycle road facilities, and environmental cleanup along the Gulpocheon health trail. A total of 53 people participated, including 47 federation members and 6 Bucheon City officials.
Participants gathered at Gulpocheon Manamui Gwangjang at 9 AM to promote safety rules for bicycle and personal mobility device (PM) users, inspect bicycle roads and facilities for safety, and conduct environmental cleanup activities. Afterward, they continued their ride for about 1 hour and 30 minutes. The event prioritized safety, operating with one official truck and a practical support staff member for minor repairs.
A Bucheon City official stated, "We hope that the small actions of each citizen will come together to create a city where everyone can safely use bicycles. We will continue to expand bicycle safety culture promotion programs that involve citizens."
In addition to this event, the Bucheon City Bicycle Federation regularly promotes safety rules and conducts environmental maintenance activities in key areas like Bucheon Station, striving to spread a citizen-centered cycling culture.
