Cheonan City's Smart Policy Discovery Group embarked on a benchmarking trip to Daejeon's Yuseong-gu Smart Senior Center on April 2nd to introduce policies utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
Cheonan City has formed the 'Smart Policy Discovery Group' to enhance understanding of smart cities and discover efficient policies by benchmarking outstanding national cases that have solved urban problems with smart technologies such as information and communication technology (ICT) and artificial intelligence (AI).
On this day, the Smart Policy Discovery Group, consisting of a total of 11 members including senior welfare officers, visited the Smart Senior Center and related departments of Yuseong-gu Office to listen to the introduction and operation plans of the Smart Senior Center and analyze cases.
Yuseong-gu's Smart Senior Center, first introduced nationwide in 2021, provides non-face-to-face leisure and welfare programs, and digital device learning opportunities.
The Smart Policy Discovery Group visited the Smart Senior Center to prepare senior welfare measures in anticipation of the upcoming super-aged society and analyzed advanced cases where digital technology is applied to senior welfare.
Cheonan City plans to review ways to apply the benchmarked practices to the city's unique characteristics and situation, and intends to pioneer various policy areas utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) and smart technologies.
In particular, the city aims to actively develop policy models that can provide practical benefits to citizens in various fields such as senior welfare, safety, transportation, and the environment.
The Smart Policy Discovery Group plans to benchmark various other innovative smart policies and incorporate smart technologies suitable for each field.
A city official stated, "With the launch of the Smart Policy Discovery Group, we will further strive to develop innovative policies based on artificial intelligence (AI) technology."
