The "Bucheon Love for Country Challenge" will run for approximately three weeks, from July 7 to July 25, 2025, on Instagram. This initiative, organized by Bucheon City, aims to allow citizens to reflect on the meaning of liberation and share in the spirit of patriotism.

The challenge features easy-to-follow choreography, created in collaboration with Lee Hyun-gil, a teacher at Bucheon Elementary School and a popular dance YouTuber with over 100,000 subscribers. This collaboration ensures that anyone can enjoy and participate in the dance.

To enter, participants must first follow the "Bucheon City Official Instagram" account. Then, they need to film a 20-second video of themselves performing the challenge dance and upload it to their personal Instagram account with the hashtags #BucheonLoveforCountryChallenge and #Liberation80thAnniversary.

A total of 35 participants will be randomly selected as winners. Ten winners will receive a 50,000 won mobile coffee voucher, and 25 winners will receive a chicken gift certificate. The winners will be announced on July 31 on Bucheon City's official Instagram channel.

Bucheon Mayor Cho Yong-ik stated, "I hope this challenge becomes a new form of celebration fitting for the digital age, allowing citizens to participate joyfully and naturally share the meaning of patriotism. We anticipate this campaign, in collaboration with Bucheon citizens, will help spread the spirit of love for our country nationwide."

Bucheon City plans for this challenge to be more than just a commemorative event. It aims to revitalize the historical significance of liberation and the spirit of patriotism by engaging directly with its citizens.

Following the "Bucheon Love for Country Challenge," Bucheon City will also host a commemorative ceremony for the 80th Liberation Day at Bucheon City Hall on August 15, along with a "Dance Challenge Flash Mob" involving citizens. Further details regarding the "Dance Challenge Flash Mob" will be announced later through Bucheon City's official Instagram.
