Jinan Red Ginseng Makes Successful Debut in Chinese Market: A Signal Flare for Global Expansion

Ecopanax Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Seong-hoon), located in Jinan-gun, has successfully launched its premium product, "Triple Jinan Red Ginseng Extract," developed in collaboration with the Jinan Red Ginseng Research Institute, into the Chinese market. With the successful initial shipment of approximately $20,000, they have taken a significant step in promoting the excellence of Jinan red ginseng worldwide.

This export was achieved through the support of the Jinan-gun Red Ginseng Herbal Cluster Business Unit (Director Kim Jeong-bae) and the Jinan Red Ginseng Research Institute. The "Triple Jinan Red Ginseng Extract," known for its high saponin content and exceptional fatigue recovery benefits, obtained the necessary sanitary permit for export to China. Notably, SJ Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Byung-woo), a specialized export consulting firm, played a crucial role with its strategic support and strong distribution network in China.

SJ Co., Ltd., located in the Iksan Jewelry Cluster Center, has built close partnerships with major distribution companies in China through its extensive experience in the Chinese market. This success was also facilitated by these collaborative networks. SJ Co., Ltd. plans to expand Jinan red ginseng exports to China to $100,000 per month and actively expand its overseas sales network.

Jinan-gun is Korea's premier ginseng cultivation area, renowned for its long tradition and exceptional quality, maintaining its reputation as a red ginseng herbal special zone. However, it has been facing challenges due to recent domestic sales declines caused by the economic downturn. Amidst this, Ecopanax Co., Ltd. and SJ Co., Ltd. seized the opportunity of increasing overseas demand for red ginseng due to the heightened interest in immunity enhancement following the COVID-19 pandemic, and actively pursued overseas market expansion.

They collaborated with the Jinan Red Ginseng Research Institute and the Jinan-gun Red Ginseng Herbal Cluster Business Unit, clearly dividing their roles in high-quality product development, manufacturing, and overseas market entry, and worked closely together. Through this collaborative strategy, they achieved remarkable success in entering the Chinese market and plan to expand cooperative agencies in major Chinese cities to achieve an annual export target of 10 billion won.

Kim Seong-hoon, CEO of Ecopanax Co., Ltd., stated, "We will strive to promote the excellence of Jinan red ginseng worldwide and provide products that help enhance immunity and relieve fatigue to more consumers. Building on our success in the Chinese market, we will expand into various overseas markets."

Kim Jeong-bae, Director of the Jinan-gun Red Ginseng Herbal Cluster Business Unit, said, "This entry into the Chinese market will not only showcase the excellence of traditional Korean red ginseng but also strengthen Jinan red ginseng's position in the global health functional food market. We will explore various support measures to aid future export growth and work closely with Jinan-gun to contribute to the expansion of export channels for 'Jinan Red Ginseng.'"
