SK Hynix Declares Q2 Dividend of 375 Won Per Share, Signals Enhanced Shareholder Returns in Q3

SEOUL — SK Hynix Inc., the world’s second-largest memory chipmaker, announced on Friday that its board of directors has approved a quarterly cash dividend of 375 Korean won ($0.27) per common share, reinforcing its commitment to shareholder value following stellar earnings performances.

According to a regulatory filing submitted to the Korea Exchange on August 7, the total dividend payout amounts to approximately 273.3 billion won ($199.5 million). The record date for eligible shareholders has been established as August 31, 2026, with distributions scheduled to be completed within one month of the record date, by late September.

In tandem with the quarterly payout, the Icheon-headquartered memory giant disclosed plans to finalize an expanded shareholder return policy during the third quarter of this year. The upcoming framework is designed to further enhance investor returns, backed by the company's robust cash generation and historic operational achievements.

Industry analysts note that market expectations for substantial shareholder returns have heightened significantly throughout the year. Driven by explosive global demand for advanced high-bandwidth memory (HBM) chips indispensable for artificial intelligence hardware, SK Hynix has continued to report record-breaking quarterly financial metrics.

With operating margins reaching multi-year highs, financial observers speculate that the forthcoming Q3 framework may incorporate strategic share buybacks, stock cancellations, or supplemental cash dividends. The move underscores SK Hynix's strategy to align investor value with its structural dominance in the next-generation memory landscape.
