AREQUIPA, Peru – Petróleos del Perú (Petroperú) has announced a significant step in its effort to bring cleaner and more efficient energy solutions to southwestern Peru. The state-owned company recently activated natural gas service for Postes Arequipa S.A., a concrete products manufacturer located in the Río Seco Industrial Park.

This milestone marks an important advancement in Petroperú's ongoing initiative to expand the use of natural gas in the region, benefiting both businesses and the environment. Postes Arequipa S.A., which produces a variety of concrete products including posts, mailboxes, panels, and pavers, will now have access to a more sustainable energy source that is expected to improve its production processes and boost its competitiveness.

The use of natural gas offers numerous advantages for businesses and the environment. Compared to other fuels, natural gas produces fewer polluting emissions, contributing to cleaner air quality. It can also lead to increased equipment durability and reduced maintenance costs.

Petroperú's expansion of natural gas service in southwestern Peru reflects the company's commitment to supporting regional industrial development by providing access to reliable and environmentally friendly energy solutions. The company has been actively working to extend its natural gas network to the cities of Arequipa, Moquegua, Ilo, and Tacna, making this valuable resource available to a wider range of industries and businesses. This latest development with Postes Arequipa S.A. is a testament to that ongoing commitment.
