Doosan Robotics is accelerating the transition to robotic automation in manufacturing through a strategic partnership with Kwangjin Group, a global leader in automotive components.

On March 9, 2026, Doosan Robotics announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Kwangjin Group for "Innovation in Automotive Part Manufacturing Processes and Cooperation in Robot Automation Solutions." The signing ceremony was attended by Doosan Robotics CEO Park In-won and Kwangjin Group General President Kwon Oh-chul.

Strategic Expansion: 100+ Units by 2027
Kwangjin Group operates a vast production network across the U.S., Mexico, India, and Vietnam, serving major global automakers with specialized door systems. The company has already integrated Doosan’s collaborative robots into window regulator assembly, inspection, and door module riveting lines.

Under this agreement, Doosan Robotics will finalize the delivery of 19 units by May 2026. This serves as the first phase of a larger rollout, with a roadmap to supply more than 100 industrial robot solutions to Kwangjin’s domestic and international facilities by 2027.

The Power of "Zero Defect" Performance
The driving force behind this large-scale contract is the proven reliability of Doosan's technology. CEO Park In-won stated, "This MOU is a testament to the high trust earned by our solutions, particularly the achievement of a 0% defect rate in actual production. This tangible success has paved the way for our large-scale cooperation."

Beyond hardware supply, the two companies plan to co-develop customized robot solutions tailored to Kwangjin's unique manufacturing needs. This collaboration aims to push the boundaries of automation in the automotive sector, enhancing productivity and quality control on a global scale.
